Hello again from Portagrow! We have had a busy fall and winter traveling through Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rico, Panama and Columbia, where we enjoyed seeing many different types of orchids in their natural environments but unfortunately we missed the fall orchid shows that we normally are vendors at so now it's time to get back to work.
This spring Portagrow will be one of the vendors in the Denver Orchid Society's 2013 spring show and sale being held at Tagawa Garden Center located at 7711 S. Parker Rd. Centennial, CO 80016. We will be displaying our Pocket Greenhouse with our popular Six Tier Grow Stand with HDS, our best selling Three Tier Grow Stand with HDS, and our most affordable Two Tier Grow Stand. All of our displays will be on sale during the show and will be at 20% off our normal price. We will also be selling all of the beautiful orchids used in our displays with all of the proceeds being donated to the DOS at the end of the show. So this year you will not only be able to take our beautiful display plants home, but will also be able to take any of our display products home, at the end of the show, with out the wait or shipping costs.
The show should be a great one with several other orchid vendors selling plants to benefit the DOS and many wonderful exhibits. The exhibits are from members of the Denver Orchid Society as well as local growers, hobbyists, and organizations from around the area. There are many types of rare and unusual orchids to be seen and the Tagawa Gardens is a great place to see the displays. The abundant natural light shows off the plants magnificently!
Some of the past vendors at the DOS spring show have been Enthropic Orchids in Denver, http://enthropicorchids.com/, who have a great variety of orchids on display and also sell some of Portagrow's products. Another from last spring is New Earth Orchids from Santa Fe New Mexico. They are a larger scale orchid nursery who attends many shows here in Colorado. http://www.newearthorchids.com. The DOS has yet to announce who the vendors will be at the 2013 spring show so as soon as we hear from them we will post them here.
